Originally written for the Clementones. It's a crime to record this version without Chris Collins singing it, but I enjoyed the way the lyrics fit together so I decided to included it on this release. The arrangement is partially based on my original demo of the song and the Clementones version.
lyrics
Breaking My Heart Again
Well, do the Jerk or do the Monkey
Until you get it right
Mash Potato or the Donkey
Get into a fight
We’re gonna play till the morning
Until the break of light
Just a little bit of dancing
Then you can’t be wrong
Just a little bit of dancing
Dancing all night long
You brought your dead weight of a boyfriend
Who doesn’t want to dance
Don’t think about it for a moment
And give me just one chance
I don’t care what you think about me
I don’t wanna romance
Just a little bit of dancing
Then you can’t be wrong
Just a little bit of dancing
Dancing all night long
So get your ass onto the floor, girl
You better shake those hips
So what you think we play this shit for?
Can’t you read my lips?
It’s time to make a move so act now
You can do the twist
Just a little bit of dancing
Then you can’t be wrong
Just a little bit of dancing
Dancing all night long
Your eyes are breaking my heart again...

The only thing that stops me from comparing this to Toots & The Maytals is the perfection and precision of the Delegators’ musicianship and Janet’s vocals. marc_ian
